Brief introduction:
Take advantage of enthusiastic dept staff who possess a diverse range of skills and experiences. Expand your own skillset in Fine Art, Ceramics, Fashion / Textiles, Printmaking, Illustration, Photography and 3D sculpture making.
BTEC courses – A minimum of Grade 4 in English Language or Maths
The qualification is designed for post-16 learners who want to progress to higher education in an art and design related discipline. It is an opportunity for learners to understand more about the scope of art and design and develop knowledge of the creative process. The optional units allow learners to study areas such as fashion, textiles, graphics, photography, 3D studies and fine art.

Unit 12. FINE ART MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES AND PROCESSES
Unit 1. VISUAL RECORDING AND COMMUNICATION. Exam theme released in January, Exam sat in May. Resit option in January following year.
Unit 4. MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES AND PROCESSES IN ART AND DESIGN (Part A + B )

Unit 4. MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES AND PROCESSES IN ART AND DESIGN (Part C + D )
Unit 1. CRITICAL AND CONTEXTUAL STUDIES IN ART AND DESIGN. Exam- Essay. Exam theme released in November, Exam sat in January. Resit option in May the same year.
Unit 13. 3D DESIGN MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES AND PROCESSES
Unit 3. THE CREATIVE PROCESS
Study Fine Art, Architecture and Fashion textiles and Illustration at University.
