Transition Activity Days – 10th-12th August 2021
We were very disappointed to hear that we were required to cancel the 5th July Transition Day.  However, we are very happy that we have been able to plan a transition activity programme for August.  I would therefore like to invite you all to attend our 3 day programme of transition activities that we have planned for Tuesday 10th August, Wednesday 11th August and Thursday 12th August running from 10am to 2pm.  These days will be a great way to get to know school, meet new members of your year group and spend some time with some of the staff who will be supporting you in year 7.  Please see the programme outline below and then sign-up here if you would like to attend on either 1, 2 or all of the 3 days.

Year 6-7 Transition 2021

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

It is with great pleasure that we are able to welcome you as a future Our Lady and St Chad’s student.  We are really pleased that you have chosen our Catholic family for your future education and we promise to do all we can to help you achieve your dreams over the next 5, or hopefully 7 years.  We hope that you are just as excited as we are to start our Year 7 adventure together.

There’s lots to do over the coming weeks and we will be in touch with you by post, email and, fingers crossed, in person too.  We will be adding all information that we send out to this webpage along with some introductory videos that we hope will help you to get to know your new surroundings and give you a glimpse of all the exciting things we have waiting for you in September and beyond.

For now, we wish you all the very best for your final months of primary school and we look forward to welcoming you here in person when it is safe to do so.

Below you will find a welcome video and a range of documents containing information that you may find useful.  We will be updating this page regularly over the coming weeks and therefore would encourage you to visit every so often.

For now though, please try not to worry about a thing.  Starting secondary school is a big change but it is one that is exciting and full of opportunities, especially at Our Lady and St Chad’s.  We will support you wholeheartedly in the way that is suited to what you need when you need it.
